Seven Bends Veterinary Hospital has a variety of positions in the veterinary health care team. Openings occur from time to time which needs to be filled. We invite you to complete an application in person at our office which can be kept on file should job openings develop. The following positions may occasionally be available. Call our office to determine if there are any current openings.
Veterinary Receptionist: This position is responsible for dealing directly with our clients in person or by phone. The receptionists make appointments, perform invoicing functions, fill prescription medications, admit and discharge patients for surgery, treatment, or boarding, answer phone calls, and interact with clients. Applicants must have good people skills, telephone skills, some knowledge of computer application, and a love of animals and be a high school graduate.
Veterinary Assistant: This position assists the licensed technicians and doctors with patient restraint, blood collection, laboratory work, surgical pack preparation, cleaning, appointment processing, and related tasks. Applicants must have a high school diploma, be willing to learn restraint, be willing to take direction, have a love of animals, and be a good team player.
Veterinary Technician: This position is specifically for licensed veterinary technicians. Their tasks include performing blood work, acquisition of samples for various laboratory testing, catheter placement, anesthesia induction and monitoring, patient care, and dental prophylaxis. Graduation from an accredited school and possession of a current license to practice as a licensed veterinary technician is a must. Good people skills, teamwork, flexibility, and a passion for patient care are essential.
Kennel Attendant: This position involves cleaning of kennels, walking and caring for dogs and cats, medication administration, and some custodial and lawn maintenance chores. Candidates must be at least 16 years of age or eligible for a work permit, be able and willing to work evenings or weekends, and have a love of animals.
